This is really entertaining , the old keen fan games like this are not without their charm, however random and bizarre.

Btw, thenewmoonsidianx made many fangames, and luckily not all of them are this bad, a few a fairly decent, like Holiday Hijinx, but all of his games are terribly buggy. _________________

I (occasionally) run Windows 7 and as far as I know it does nothing. Wikipedia doesn't say anything about it either, so unless that page is outdated... _________________ Hi!

I use PrintKey 2000. Ctrl+PrnScrn gets the active workspace. This game has two sequals BTW. _________________ I will make you shorter by the head.

Is Printkey like MWSnap, which is what I use?
| DHeadshot wrote: | | Quote: | | This is America. No, it really is. I see ugly pixellated gates towering over the road on the extremely yellow ground every day. | Marked as "DAD" in SGA? |
Yes, they're always marked a "DAD" in SGA, and I've never been able to find out why! But who's complaining? It's good for tourism.
| VikingBoyBilly wrote: | Wasn't PUPTP a password in level 1 somewhere? |
I don't remember it being there but there was the very similar "JIYUV."
| VikingBoyBilly wrote: | I cracked up laughing at "annnymore"
This is such good YTP material I can barely stand it. If it was vocalized, that is. But then you'd lose out on the bad spelling. Hmmm... |
It should be done in style of this.
| VikingBoyBilly wrote: | Where does it say level 3 is in America?[/url]
In the source file. |
| VikingBoyBilly wrote: | I thought levels 1 and 2 were in Greece at least. Or was level 2 in Itchbay? |
Apparently the Greek levels are counted as the same level, for some reason. Level 2 was in "Java," wherever that is.
| VikingBoyBilly wrote: | | If a Greek person saw this, I bet they would cry. |
That, or they'd respond like I did to this guy's rendition America. Most of them would probably cry, though. In fact, most people with any knowledge of Greece in general would cry if they saw this.

Man, at times this game is like the Commander Keen equivalent of the CD-i Legend Of Zelda games. Except it's going to have to have a Dramatic Reading to become YouTube Poop.
|
"What?! I'm Commander Keen - the oddball in my family. Not Commander Mean! Get me if you want!"
"Oh, by the way, do you wanna go to the Greek Family Base? It's overrun with Fierce Aliens."
"Maybe you're right... I'll just... fly a Pig Stun to Magna's Lab"
"Well, we'd better get back before Magna get's home."
"Here's a Pig Stun"
"Ah! A Pig Stun! You're about to fly an airplane on the fried side!"
"Oh no! Hurt me! I'm just the Pig Stun in my family. I wanna fight!"
"You do, don't you?"
*molly says Pig Stun for 5 minutes*
"I'm Commander Pig Stun! Kid who doesn't save the fair Ever!"
edit: Now Commander Pig Stun decides not to save the fair | You should make a video out of that, it's awesome. |
You really should, or at least, someone should.
| tulip wrote: | | Oh man this game just goes on and on... I wonder how many levels there are yet to come. |
Many. This game does NOT want to end.
| DaVince wrote: | | Quote: | | Hmm, a library, eh? |
How fitting. Everything in this game already is a library graphic. |
| DaVince wrote: |

It's Window's code for taking whatever's on the screen and putting it into the clipboard. Unless printscreen alone does that.
| DaVince wrote: | Hey, maybe you could extract the MIDIs from the game and post them when appropriate? More entertainment value! |
That's actually a good Idea. Now if only I knew how...
| StupidBunny wrote: | | Hahaha, I love this so far. Thanks. Itchbay is a lot more painful to play through, but I'm thinking of Let's Playing it once I'm finally done with this.

Yes. In fact, he's made two sequels to this, with the third one actually being somewhat improved.

I remember because he's made the third TUIT episode somewhat decent, but I don't remember any outside the TUIT, perhaps because I never heard of them before?

I have Windows Vista, and it works fine on my computer.

It's probably a company specific thing (like, maybe Dell or Acer specific? My vista is an Acer model), but who knows.
Not as many images this time around because I'm busy.
Apparently going in the hospital angers this not-so-good-looking guy, but why?
"Run Rail Road?" Does this guy think America's still in it's gold rush stage?
We'll see what this thing does later. _________________ "Ha Ha! I'm Commander Mean! Get me if you want!"

Printscreen alone takes the whole screen. Alt+Printscreen takes the active window. In Vista and 7, there's some feature or other to only take a selection, but I don't know what it is... _________________ Cereal Board!

If I want a rectangle area, I press PrintScreen, select Rectangle from the new window, and drag a box around the area I want. _________________ I will make you shorter by the head.

IT WAS! Honest mistake! PUPTP was tthe password to Java (which apparently is in Indonesia. I feel bad for the Indonesians.) The password for America is NIYUB! Just alerting everyone! I'll post up a lot more pictures next time (this may end up being a double post). _________________ "Ha Ha! I'm Commander Mean! Get me if you want!"

Do you think you could upload your copy of this game? You could also send it to [myname]{pnuematicAt}mchsi_c0m
I hate spambots.
(I have no idea where the pnuematic part came from...)
EDIT: apparently Pnuematic At looks like this:

I believe Multimedia Fusion 2 can do it. It's got a 30 day trial, and yes, it CAN still open KnP games. _________________ Hi!

I guess it will be a double post.
| Quote: | | Printscreen alone takes the whole screen. Alt+Printscreen takes the active window. In Vista and 7, there's some feature or other to only take a selection, but I don't know what it is... |
Okay.
So touching this box thing makes me ride it... Or maybe I've turned into it? It also rotates very poorly.
What happens when you destroy all those bloogs?
Nothing Keen remains....
I want keen in my game, so let's reset and play without getting the vehicle that does nothing...
Apparently, even this train does nothing...
...DOES ANYTHING HERE DO ANYTHING?!!?
THIS CERTAINLY DOESN'T!!! AAAAAAA!!! I'M STUCK FOREVARZ!! EFAEGSAVvsGH$#QTt9334○vfd♠dsfbkl-‼sfdgdfas☺grg
AND THIS...
Wow, this actually does something. See that pig? drag the star to the pig to destroy him so you can go in there. I know this makes no sense.
By the way, see this area I circled in Photoshop?
I went in there, and got stuck. Due to the bad programming, and the things that basically can be summed up as mouse thieves, I ended up having to kill this program with nothing but my keyboard and the Vista task manager. It was horrible.
If you find keen in this picture, you win an invisible virtual cookie. If you can see his outline, you win an internet.
I have to give credit for the rotating gem, because it actually looks somewhat cool. Somewhat.
Of course, it doesn't look as nice with a blue and cyan gem as it did with the red one.
Yes, that door does contain a pulsating white circle in it. However, since I was testing the room, let's play with two different pathways.
Pathway Number 1: Climbers, but no Miners.
Yes, you can just climb up these things and pretty much skip all the other stuff in the level.
I'm actually climbing, not falling. I ended up getting stuck, but not severely. When you get stuck, just jump out and start climbing again.
This is something any Spider-Man, Lemming, or any other climbing character would be proud of.
Pathway Number 2: Make Superman Cry.
You can jump into the ceiling, ans stick to that, essentially making you fly across the level. Unfortunately, I was unable to take a screen of it without braking Keen's flight, which results in me having to jump to the ceiling again, sometimes from very hard to climb areas. Maybe I'll record the action with Fraps (although I'd really rather purchase the full version before I use it) or something.
Moving on.
Yes, not even Keen's free from the curse of bad perspective. And why is the ground lit up when nothing else is? In fact, why were the bloogs and the dirt and the gems and the... You know, never mind. I've borked my brain enough for one paragraph.
After find a position where I can kill this bloog from a place he can't kill me from, we get this!
The first time around I accidentally skipped this because I was busy button mashing the boss into oblivion.
"That was a tough boss!"
No he wasn't, he was just very badly programmed. And since when does Keen call the game bosses "bosses?" It's like he realizes he's in a video game! But if he did, he'd recognize how bad this game is!
"COMMANDER MEAN! I'll get you!"
I love this pointless rivalry between Keen and Mean. Surely this won't become important later?
"Don't bother. You should be heading for western California."
Why is Keen wondering around the world anyway? And what part of America are we in anyway?! This certainly doesn't look like anywhere in New England. WHERE?@!
"Why?"
I know he's asking why he should go to California, but I really want to believe that Keen's finally realizing he's in a terrible game .
""The Bloogs nearly took it over."
It's good they didn't actually succeed...
"It's abondoned now.""
...OR DID THEY??... Okay, they didn't. I know the town wasn't abandoned, it was just "abondoned."
Okay, I know California's been abandoned, but surely it wouldn't have blue dirt and a flashing house if it was aban- Oh wait, never mind, it was "abondoned," remember?
(Someone please tell me whether those trees are native to California or not, because I don't think they are.) _________________ "Ha Ha! I'm Commander Mean! Get me if you want!"

They're native to the graphics library. _________________ I will make you shorter by the head.
