Has anybody here played the adventure game The Black Mirror?

I'm curious because I've read somewhere that it would be possible to get stuck in the game at the end of chapter II. There, you need to shoot a lock to get out of an old mine. I read that it was possible to waste both of the bullets you've got on that lock. (You need the second bullet for something else, later on.)

If you played the game, could you get stuck like this?

I'm playing the German "Special Edition" and I can't shoot the lock twice. I'm not sure if that dead-end was removed in this version or if it never was in any version of the game at all.
