So I was thinking. I was looking through some of the previews on the website, and I saw that you have a hard mode for keen 1 2 and 3. I think it might be interesting to have a no raygun difficulty, or perhaps a no pogo difficulty (for keen 1 at least, maybe leaving in the pogo for lv 16 only?) I think making slight changes like that might make the game a lot more exciting. Granted you would need the raygun for keen 2 and 3 to shoot the sparks.... maybe the enemies could be invincible??? I don't know, but anyway its an idea.

In hard mode in Keen1 in CG, the pogo stick level is replaced with another. Freaked me out first time I tried going in there! Of course, since you need the pogo in the last level, I'm assuming that the pogo in the last level is still there...

these features should not be added as levels but as extra options.

Well, what do you wish then in our hard and easy modes? I have some ideas here:

Easy Mode:
- Vorticons have half the hit points
- You get the double of shots for every raygun you collect
- Keen jumps higher with pogo than in normal mode

Hard mode:
- Vorticons and other foes have double the hit points
- You get less bullets maybe the half when collecting rayguns
- It is harder to get extra lifes. You need more points than normal

What do you think. I'm aldo thinking about removed those swapped levels in Episode when playing hard. Not sure if I should do that. What do you think?

Don't affect the jump height in easy, that could break the game and make it actually more challenging in some levels.

I'm pretty sure that for the original 3 episodes a 1 tile higher pogo jump shouldn't break anything, but it would make things easier (a particular level in keen2 comes to mind), exactly what it should. I'm concerned about mods too, that's why I say no difficulty modes for mods, at least not now.

I wouldn't go as far as double the ammo count, but like galaxy 8 shots on easy. And 1 hp more/less for for enemies with more than one hp.

I think in Episode 1 yes.

In the other Episode it might be really really hard.

What do you guys think about the features that are partially in, like faster moving enemies on hard?

I think we should do our best to match the differences in difficulties of Vorticons to the differences in difficulties of Galaxy. In things thaisn'tt possible in, we can improvise.
