Oh, it allows me to save. But as soon as I quit the game, ALL of the saves are deleted, and the settings are set to the defaults. Any advice? _________________ I hope you brought Kleenex. |

What are you running the game in? _________________ "Hi, I'm Tom Sellick's moustache."

Check if any of the files are somehow set to read-only. _________________ Hi!

Dosbox. I think that fact causes the game to lag from sprite overload unless you destroy every destroyable sprite you see, and it may have even caused that crash that I experienced that made me have to start episode 2 all over.

Nope. Good idea though, thanks. _________________ I hope you brought Kleenex. |

I've had a similar problem with Duke 2 some time ago. I got to the boss of episode 4 on hard difficulty, saved and then used [CTRL]+[F9] to shut DOSBox down. When I started the game again, my savegame was gone. So it might be that you didn't exit the game properly (or just clicked the "X" to close it) and that "deleted" your files. Try saving a game and then quitting Duke 2 the normal way to get back to the DOSBox prompt. Then type "exit" to exit DOSBox. If the samegame still isn't there when you start Duke 2 the next time, there might be another problem. _________________ Hail to the K1n9, baby! |
