Out of curiosity, is it possible for those of us with random junk phones (LG, Motorola, etc) to run homebrew like this? My LG runs the Wolfenstein and Doom 2 RPGs fine, so there must be some cross-compatibility.

I think yes, it really depends what operating system you have.

If that's true about Wolfenstein and Doom, I suppose somewhat uses SDL which is also used by Commander Genius, so it should be possible.

If you have Android-based device and Google Market application you can download it right away (search for "keen"), if you don't you may try direct link to .apk file (but you still need Android-based device)

Wolfenstein RPG and Doom 2 RPG are both j2me applications. CG is written in C++ and uses libSDL, hence it will never be possible to run it on your phone unless some firmware revision allows for running native (non-java) applications and they release some sort of a SDK for it.

Not all android devices have Google market place and other Google apps as Google charge the manufacturers for the priviledge.
