(Dead in the Desert) H Two 0?

Post by predcon »

It wasn't expressly stated in the manual, but can I assume that the two varieties of H20 (bottles and glasses for 1/100, pitchers and what I can only describe as water cooler tanks for 1UPs) are only there for diversity?

From what I know yes. If you think about it keen 6 had two types of vivas as well: a flying one and a wingless one. Guess the same logic is applied here.

Dead in the Desert is a mod of Keen 6. The H2Os are replacements of the Vivas. As there are two versions (standing and flying) in the original game, Ceilick decided to keep this diversity.
In Keen 6, extra lifes are given by Queen Vivas. So it's consequent to replace them with water pitchers in the mod.

So the varieties of H2Os do exactly the same thing.
