For my first attempt at using a graphics tablet, I drew a Yorp (day)dreaming of sweet red lollipops. You can see the result at my newly created deviantArt account:

Look before you post.
But pretty good I'd say. I can't get used to tablets being mapped to specific coordinates on the screen instead of having the same sensory behavior as a mouse. _________________

I like it also.
Made me wonder where it's brain would be located, as the eyeball at the end of the stalk makes it cramped for space up there. Guessing at anatomy for all the non-human characters might be fun. |

Let alone a digestive system. Time to send a Yorp through an MRI machine?
Cool drawing Grandy02. _________________

I look a yorp picture... http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/2/28985/1520387-1_large.gif
...it's not just not the same. The legs especially bother me. Keep in mind, a yorp is not a human. :/ _________________ Join us for netkeen! irc://irc.foonetic.net/netkeen

I know, the legs aren't that yorpish (I actually took inspiration from Spot in Keen 2's ending). Well, I declare it to be a rare mutation. _________________ Every 3 Seconds a Child Dies because of Extreme Poverty

Yeah, and there are variations in Earth species - why not in yorps? _________________

Because through natural selection, most mutated syndrome variations die off relatively quickly! _________________ Join us for netkeen! irc://irc.foonetic.net/netkeen

Because through natural selection, most mutated syndrome variations die off relatively quickly! | Except where those mutations are beneficial, such as the Cave Garg... _________________ Cereal Board!

How are the feet supposed to look then?
I made my yorp feet similar to rabbit legs here. But I like that more than my other attempt here.
I gave Gargs a flat foot here. Who knows, maybe the rest of the Garg distracted everyone sufficiently.

"Yorp Portrait" is amazing. Have I told you that your high-res Keen art is awesome yet?
I do have one suggestion, though... Consider using more dithering techniques than just 50-50 checkers for shading. _________________ "Father Mabeuf was surveying his plants" |
