This serves as a great reminder of Commander Keen's awesomeness..
It reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes.. but CK and C&H have always been child-hearted and humorous like that. Maybe you could draw Spaceman Spiff and Commander Keen working together to stop Mort in TUIT.. Idk. That would be awesome. Maybe Spot the Yorp and Hobbes frolicking on Gnosticus IV. I'm going off on a tangent here. It's best just to say bye now.

On the subject of cartoon aliens that look similar, when I was like 9 (in 1989), I drew a cartoon that featured a kind of alien that looked just like a garg. No arms. Eyes on stalks. But instead of having teeth, it just had one big blade across the length of its gums, like one hugely wide tooth. Or like Barney the Dinosaur.
