But, but...why didn't they just copy the pixel-y face? This one doesn't look as good _________________

All the Keen-related merch on that page have 'copyright infringement' written all over them; unlicensed, unofficial, and most importantly: people making money off of Tom's creation.
And besides...who in their right mind pays $30 for a T-shirt or hoodie that has so much negative space on it? I certainly wouldn't -- unless that money is going to a 'Buy the Keen Source Code from id for Tom' fund, but it's not.
That, and I'm not too keen on those designs.
..Maybe I just have a different standard of taste. Which is okay. Everyone's entitled to their own. _________________ "I just drew this stupid little fish." -- Tom Hall |

| Too expensive imo. And I bet you can made your own print and send it to some of your local stores and it will be like half of these prices. |

They're all made by 'Catwafer' who used to be on these forums so it looks like a place where you upload your own images onto clothing. So the cost is probably because they're only printing up each garment one by one when you order them.
But I guess it means you could always upload your own images...
EDIT: Don't forget the prices are in Australian dollars too, so they're not really that bad (at least not compared to any popular clothing stores.) _________________ [ KeenWiki | ModdingWiki | Camoto ] |

That's the thing about Zazzle, anyone can upload any image of anything and make a shirt off it.
And yes, then there's the price tag. But I agree, that dopefish shirt looks pretty awesome.

You mean ID Software's creation.

And quite frankly, I would much rather pay into the "Buy the Commadner Keen rights for myself" fund. |

The only problem being, knowing video game developers, the asking price is 'How much have you got?' _________________ What you really need, not what you think you ought to want. |

I'm not sure how ID feels about this, but then again, F*CK ID SOFTWARE for abandoning Keen and not even giving the IP to Tom Hall who would have actually done something with it.
I'll be making some Keen shirts for personal use, but I'll probably start off with Monster Bash, since it's my favorite game. |
